Detroit Filmmaker Returns
to celebrate Cinematic Excellence
We're thrilled to share that the Detroit Filmmaker Awards (DFA) has joined forces with Homestead Entertainment, a distribution company that helps bring diverse stories and voices to the forefront.
Together, we're dedicated to supporting and promoting independent filmmaking in the Metro Detroit area, specifically focusing on films, television, and digital content by and for people of color.
Our goal is to empower these storytellers and give them the platform they need to be heard, and we're excited to see what amazing projects will come out of this partnership.
The Detroit Filmmaker Awards has partnered with Stream Magazine to promote diverse and engaging film entertainment in metro Detroit.
The awards organization supports emerging filmmakers and hosts an annual ceremony, while the magazine provides in-depth coverage of independent films. Together, they aim to bring recognition to local talent and showcase the diverse films produced in the area.
