For five years, the Detroit Filmmaker Awards has been one of the most prestigious celebrations of independent film, shining a spotlight on local talent and fostering a vibrant filmmaking community.
This year, leading up to our main event on April 27th at One Mic Detroit, we’re hosting networking sessions and special gatherings to unite filmmakers, audiences, and supporters. We’re also committed to offering free classes and workshops in acting and filmmaking—equipping aspiring creatives with the tools they need to succeed. However, none of this can happen without your help.
